Important Information for the New Home Owner
Arranging for Electric Service
To arrange to have the electric service placed in your name, please call Electrical District No. 3, (ED3) at 520-424-9021 OR 877-811-8700, or come into our offices at 19756 N. John Wayne Blvd, Suite 101 or 41630 W. Louis Johnson Drive, Maricopa (see attached map) You will need to provide ED3 with the following:
A Completed Application For Service
- Pay a Nonrefundable Service Initiation Fee of $25.00 for Residential Service or $35.00 for Commercial Service
- Sign a Service Agreement, and
- Establish Credit with the District
Credit may be established by either providing documentation of good payment history from your current or previous electric service provider, referred to as a Payment History Letter (PHL) or by paying a refundable security deposit equal to two times the average monthly bill, but in no event less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00).
Your PHL must indicate two (2) or fewer overdue notices and no returned checks during the past twelve months of service. Deposits are refundable with interest, after 24 months of good payment history with the District. The deposits that are eligible for refund will be applied to an existing ED3 account if in good standing with the District.
