Maricopa, AZ – March 26, 2025 – Electrical District No. 3 (ED3) announced that it awarded the Peters & Nall Substation construction contract to Reinhausen Manufacturing. The project is anticipated to be completed between 4th quarter 2025 and 1st quarter 2026. Peters & Nall Substation is located on Peters & Nall Road west of John Wayne Parkway/HWY 347 just south of the Ak-Chin Indian Community.

As part of ED3’s ongoing efforts to modernize substation infrastructure and improve system reliability, a second substation bay will be built to include a new transformer, 69 kV breaker, relay panels, and new bus systems along with other power equipment. The project is estimated to cost approximately $2,750,000 and is a priority project for calendar year 2025.
