When a hawk’s nest was discovered on one of ED3's power lines, our crew quickly sprang into action to protect both the eggs and our equipment, preventing potential outages while ensuring the safety of everyone involved. This effort required coordination across multiple teams and partner organizations. With the right expertise, communication, and helping hands in place, the relocation was completed safely and responsibly.
It was an intense mission, with mom keeping a close watch from above. Wildlife biologist Stevie was on-site guiding our team every step of the way, making sure the eggs were handled with the utmost care. All four eggs were safely removed and are now on their way to Liberty Wildlife to hatch, be raised by foster red-tailed hawk parents, and eventually released into suitable habitat once they are old enough.

Stay tuned for updates as we follow their journey and watch these little ones grow.
